You should tell your parents or any other trusted adult and go to see a doctor (orthopedician). Then get an mri scan or an xray if the doctor thinks you should.
Well, personally, I do not believe in the brace at all. I’ve known people who wore the brace religiously for years, and wore it every day and yet, their curvature only increased and they had to eventually get surgery. Wearing the brace also has negative impacts on the person’s already weakened mind and can lead to a low self image. I would advice active management of your scoliosis once it’s detected. If the curve is not too much and you do not immediately require surgery, go for physiotherapy, yoga, chiropractics, etc. It’s better than wearing a brace.
But then again, this topic is debatable and I’m not trying to influence anybody into not wearing their brace. So please use your own jurisdiction and think wisely because your health and your future is at stake.
You should try swimming. It’s great exercise and helps with scoliosis too because under water, you can lengthen your spine (and thus strengthen it). And swimming will not give you any back pain. It’s the best exercise for a scoliotic person. You can also try yoga with a professional teacher (look into Iyengar Yoga) who will be able to help you with your scoliosis and yoga will also provide great exercise!
If you’re worried about what people will think on seeing your deformity and are feeling conscious, try not to. It doesn’t matter what they say or think. The good ones will only look beyond your deformity and see your struggle, your bravery, what you had to put up with and what you have survived. Be proud of yourself and your scars. Don’t be afraid to show them. Don’t hide. People will understand. Hope your play is/was good!
Don’t worry please. You’ll be fine and you’ll be better after your operation. Think of that. And you won’t be conscious during surgery obviously, so you won’t even get to know it’s happening and just be brave and you’ll get through to the brighter side. Be brave, be brave. My love is with you.

I feel good when I say this- I have forgotten :) It’s changed a lot since I started doing yoga. I think it was about 28 degrees, 5 years ago, but some doctors diagnosed it differently and said 39, so I can not be sure about that. And right now, I don’t know what it is, simply because I do not need to know. The progress is self evident.
